Ultra-Thin Head Anti-Loosening Joint Screw 1

Ultra-thin head joint screw: a low head keeps swing clearance in a thin-wall pivot, and the CD-textured face cuts glare in a narrow gap.
Ultra-Thin Head Anti-Loosening Joint Screw 1
Key specifications
  • Installationelectric driver; no more than five reuses
  • StandardISO 2320 (prevailing torque fasteners)
  • Typical substratebattery packs, controllers, rail interiors
  • Key inspectionsprevailing torque, patch length, thread gauging
  • Head TypeUltra Low Profile / CD-textured

Product overviewOverview

A nylon patch works by elastic interference. In a joint the available height is often one or two millimetres, so head thickness rather than head diameter controls the fit, and every 0.1 mm taken off the head buys swing angle. The thread provides axial retention only; the bore and shank locate the joint.

installed by electric driver; no more than five reuses.

Key featuresFeatures

  • Size by head thickness first, then keep the diameter.
  • Elastic interference from the patch adds friction inside the thread pair.
  • No axial space needed, so it suits countersunk and low-profile heads.
  • Does not mark the clamped surface the way a toothed washer can.

Typical applicationsApplications

  • Battery pack modules
  • Motor controllers and on-board chargers
  • Rail interior and equipment brackets

Selection notesSelection

Measure the clear height at the joint, allow 0.1–0.2 mm of swing clearance, then fix head thickness and shank length. If the gap is too small, change the head form rather than dropping to a smaller thread.

Frequently asked questionsFAQ

How thin can the head be on a joint screw?
It is set by the clear height at the joint minus swing clearance. Below about 0.5 mm the drive recess depth becomes the limit, because the remaining material under the recess carries the driving torque.
What matters during installation of the Ultra-Thin Head Anti-Loosening Joint Screw 1?
Drive it with an electric screwdriver, and retire the screw after five uses. Size by head thickness first, then keep the diameter.

Manufacturing and inspection

Prevailing torque is sampled to ISO 2320, recording first and fifth removal values. We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
