UQD (Universal Quick Disconnect) is the common blind-mate interface for liquid-cooling loops. Both halves contain spring-loaded valves: on connection the two poppets push each other open, and on disconnection the springs return them to their seats so both sides close. That is what keeps leakage to drips when a node is pulled under pressure.
Material: Stainless Steel / Aluminum Alloy. It mates blind without tools, and connects under pressure.
Size on flow rate and allowable pressure drop, not on thread size alone.
| Material | Stainless Steel / Aluminum Alloy |
|---|---|
| Type | Quick-disconnect coupling |
| Standard | OCP UQD interface, GB/T 4208 |
| Installation | tool-free blind mate, connectable under pressure |
| Typical substrate | liquid-cooled servers and rack loops |
| Key inspections | leak tightness, pressure drop, cycle life |
Leak test at 1.5 times rated pressure, checking valve seats and O-ring zone.We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
