Product overviewOverview

A star recess has six curved lobes, and the bit contacts the walls over an area rather than at four points. A nylon patch is fused onto part of the thread and is compressed as the screw engages, giving continuous radial pressure. Prevailing torque comes from the elasticity of the patch rather than from friction, so it is less sensitive to oil, but the number of reuses is limited.
