Wedge-locking washers work in pairs. The conical form is a spring in the axial direction, so when the joint settles or the bolt stretches the washer recovers and keeps preload. Compared with a split washer the load-deflection curve is flatter, which suits soft parts and joints that see large temperature swings.
Material: Spring Steel 65Mn. The two washers are fitted as a pair with the cams facing each other.
Choose cone height by joint stiffness: a taller cone gives more take-up on soft parts, a shallow cone avoids going solid on stiff joints.

| Surface Treatment | Black oxide / Zinc-plated |
| Standard | GB/T 94.1, ISO 16130 (transverse vibration) |

| Typical substrate | wind, construction and rail structures |
| Key inspections | tooth height, hardness, locking performance |
Tooth height, cam angle and hardness are sampled to drawing. We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
