Physical vapour deposition builds the film in a vacuum chamber by evaporating or sputtering metal or ceramic onto the part. The CD pattern is a turned or pressed concentric texture that PVD covers conformally, producing a ring highlight that shifts with viewing angle. The film is micrometres thick, so thread fit stays on the original tolerance and no plating allowance is needed.
installed by electric driver, avoiding tip contact with the film.
Approve colour against a master sample, since film thickness varies slightly between lots; never use a CD-textured face as a sealing face.
| Drive Type | Torx T |
|---|---|
| Head Type | Ultra Low Profile / CD-textured |
| Surface Treatment | PVD Vacuum Coating (CD-textured / colored) |
| Standard | GB/T 3098.1, GB/T 9791 (coating verification) |
| Drive | star recess |
| Installation | electric driver, avoiding tip contact with the film |
| Typical substrate | visible parts and wearables |
| Key inspections | film thickness, colour, adhesion |
Film thickness is sampled by X-ray fluorescence or ball cratering; adhesion by cross-hatch or scratch test.We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
