The part combines a standoff and a nut: the external thread anchors into the base board or a pre-installed nut, while the internal thread at the other end provides a fresh interface for the upper board. A male-female screw replaces a spacer plus a screw, which removes one part and one assembly step, but it also means the stack height is fixed by the part rather than adjusted at assembly. Alloy steel at class 12.9 gives the strength needed in a small section.
Material: Alloy Structural Steel. It is driven in one pass to clamp the board stack.
Fix the board-to-board distance before choosing the part; a male-female screw cannot be adjusted once the height is set.

| Property Class | Grade 12.9 |
| Standard | GB/T 3098.1, GB/T 197 |
| Installation | single driving step for board stacking |
| Typical substrate | multilayer PCBs and industrial boards |
| Key inspections | thread gauging, coaxiality, overall length |
Internal and external threads are gauged 100%; coaxiality is sampled on a runout fixture. We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
