6061-T6 reaches roughly 290–310 MPa tensile and 240–275 MPa yield — well below steel — so wall thickness must be sized from compressive stress, not copied from a steel design. A bushing in a structural joint is a compression member, so the wall is checked for crush and, where the sleeve is long relative to its wall, for stability. Aluminium has about a third of the modulus of steel and buckles earlier at the same slenderness, which is why the length to diameter ratio matters as much as the wall thickness.
Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy. The bolt passes through the sleeve to set the spacing.
Reduce free length or add a mid-span support before increasing wall thickness; a slender sleeve fails by buckling well below its crush load.

Material is verified spectrally for 6061-T6 condition and hardness.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
