In a bolted joint the sleeve carries the compressive load and fixes the distance between the clamped parts, while keeping the bolt away from the hole wall. In a stack the sleeves in series share one bolt preload, so length tolerance accumulates and the top sleeve sets how evenly the modules are clamped. End faces have to be parallel as well as flat, because a tilted face puts the load on one edge and the stack settles unevenly.
Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy. The bolt passes through the sleeve to set the spacing.
Give a length tolerance for the assembled stack rather than for each sleeve alone; where the stack is long, grade the sleeves by length so the variation is not all in one place.

Anodised parts are checked for film thickness and sealing; insulating parts for resistance.Material certificates and dimensional records accompany each lot; material and dimensional records are supplied per batch.
