In a bolted joint the sleeve carries the compressive load and fixes the distance between the clamped parts, while keeping the bolt away from the hole wall. The galvanic pair here is aluminium against steel, and the sleeve is often the only separation between them. Anodic oxide is an insulator, but it is brittle and can be cracked by the bolt or by burrs, so the assembly has to avoid metal-to-metal contact at the edges as well as on the bore.
Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy. The bolt passes through the sleeve to set the spacing.
Deburr the hole and chamfer the sleeve ends; a cracked oxide film at an edge is where corrosion starts, even when the bore is fully anodised.

| Standard | GB/T 3191 (aluminium bar), customer drawing |
| Installation | bolt passes through the sleeve for spacing |
| Typical substrate | battery packs and lightweight structures |
| Key inspections | bore, length, compressive load |
Material is verified spectrally for 6061-T6 condition and hardness.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
