Perpendicularity is what makes or breaks the joint: a tilted stud misaligns the part bolted to it and introduces a bending moment during tightening. Stud squareness depends on the bulge filling the hole evenly. If the hole is oversize the bulge cannot fill it, the stud leans, and the sealant is compressed on one side while a gap opens on the other. Squareness is therefore a sealing parameter, not only a dimensional one.
installed by set from one side with a rivet-stud tool.
Where torque resistance matters, specify a hex or knurled anti-rotation body.

Push-out and torque tests after setting record failure values.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
