A grounding stud carries a ring of sharp teeth on the underside of its flange. Bonding resistance is the parameter here, not just push-out. Coating on the sheet, oxide on the stud and the contact pressure at the knurl all add resistance, so the joint is measured in milliohms rather than judged visually.
Material: Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel. It is pressed into a prepared hole from one side.
Specify the resistance limit and the test current; a joint that looks tight can still fail a bonding measurement because of coating between the contact faces.
| Material | Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel |
|---|---|
| Surface Treatment | Zinc-plated / Stainless steel finish |
| Standard | GB/T 90.1, customer drawing (bonding resistance) |
| Installation | pressed into a prepared hole (single side) |
| Typical substrate | coated or anodised sheet metal |
| Key inspections | bonding resistance, push-out, tooth integrity |
Bonding resistance is sampled with a milliohm meter against the drawing limit. We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
