The joint is sensitive to hole size and sheet hardness. A thinner nut leaves less material for the undercut, so the displaced sheet has a shorter path to flow into and push-out falls quickly as sheet thickness drops. On 1.2 mm sheet the hole size and the pressing force have to be held tightly, because there is little margin to correct either.
Material: Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel. It is pressed into a prepared hole with a clinching press, working from one side.
Check push-out on the actual sheet gauge rather than on a thicker test piece; performance does not scale down with nut height.
| Material | Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel |
|---|---|
| Surface Treatment | Zinc-plated / Stainless steel finish |
| Standard | GB/T 90.1 (acceptance), customer drawing |
| Installation | pressed into a prepared hole with a clinching press (single side) |
| Typical substrate | cold-rolled steel, stainless and aluminium sheet 0.5–3 mm |
| Key inspections | push-out, torque-out, face flushness |
Face flushness is checked with a feeler gauge against drawing allowance.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
