Ground quality depends on tooth penetration and contact pressure. The standoff has to do two jobs at once: hold a thread for the PCB or cover, and carry a low-resistance path into the sheet. Adding height increases the lever arm on the clinch, so the taller the standoff the more the push-out and torque-out matter.
Material: Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel. It is pressed into a prepared hole from one side.
Check torque-out with the standoff at full height, since a bending load from a cable or cover acts at the top of the column.
| Material | Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel |
|---|---|
| Surface Treatment | Zinc-plated / Stainless steel finish |
| Standard | GB/T 90.1, customer drawing (bonding resistance) |
| Installation | pressed into a prepared hole (single side) |
| Typical substrate | coated or anodised sheet metal |
| Key inspections | bonding resistance, push-out, tooth integrity |
Tooth height and count are checked optically, and face dimpling after pressing is inspected.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
