A sealed clinching standoff adds a seal or seal groove under the flange. The clinch holds the standoff and the seal closes the annular gap around it, so the two features work at the same interface. Pressing force that is too high distorts the flange and unloads part of the seal, which is why the press setting is part of the sealing specification.
Material: Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel. It is pressed into a prepared hole from one side.
Set press force within the clinch window and verify sealing by test; a standoff that passes push-out can still leak if the flange is distorted.
| Material | Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel |
|---|---|
| Surface Treatment | Zinc-plated / Stainless steel finish |
| Standard | GB/T 90.1, GB/T 4208 (IP rating) |
| Installation | pressed into a prepared hole (single side) |
| Typical substrate | sheet-metal housings requiring sealing |
| Key inspections | leak tightness, seal compression |
Leak testing at the pressure and hold time specified for the IP grade. We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
