Aluminium bolt strength is set by alloy system and temper, and it is worth being precise: 6061-T6 reaches about 290–310 MPa tensile and 240–275 MPa yield, which is medium strength. A 600 MPa class requires a 7xxx alloy such as 7075-T6 (roughly 540–570 MPa tensile) or a modified composition with a tailored ageing treatment. The headline figure is a property of that alloy and temper, not of cold heading alone.
Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy. It is tightened with a torque wrench.
Calculate preload from aluminium allowables; steel torque values crush threads and bearing faces.
