A pre-applied sealant targets the thread clearance. Thread sealing and face sealing are independent: the sealant fills the helical clearance, while the O-ring is compressed against the bearing face to form a face seal. With only one of the two, that barrier becomes the single point of failure.
Material: Stainless Steel / Brass. It is threaded in so the coating fills the thread clearance.
Choose the sealant by medium: anaerobic for metal threads, silicone for plastics and high temperature. Choose O-ring hardness by pressure, softer for low pressure to limit compression set.
| Material | Stainless Steel / Brass |

| Sealing Method | Pre-applied sealant / O-ring |
| Standard | GB/T 197, GB/T 4208 (IP rating) |
| Installation | threaded in, coating filling the clearance |
| Typical substrate | housing threads and end caps |
| Key inspections | leak tightness, coating coverage, prevailing torque |
Pressure test at 1.5 times working pressure, watching for decay or seepage.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
