A clinching screw is a screw and a clinch base in one part: the base is pressed into the panel so the sheet flows into its groove, while the threaded portion protrudes to hold the cover. Retention and sealing pull in opposite directions here. Retention needs a tight clinch in the panel, while sealing needs an even compression around the flange, and an uneven clinch tilts the flange and loads the seal on one side.
Material: Stainless Steel / Brass. It is pressed into a prepared hole from one side.
Panel thickness sets screw length; too short leaves too few engaged threads, too long may contact internal components.
