The locking effect comes from filling the thread clearance: once cured, the layer raises breakaway torque and damps the micro-slip that bleeds preload. Since the coating sits only on part of the thread, the screw can still be removed and reused, but breakaway torque falls with each cycle, so five reuses is a practical ceiling.
Material: Stainless Steel / Brass. It is driven with an electric screwdriver.
For parts taken apart often, prefer the thin P85 film over a nylon-insert locking element.
| Material | Stainless Steel / Brass |
|---|---|
| Sealing Method | Pre-applied sealant / O-ring |
| Standard | GB/T 3098.1, ISO 2320 (prevailing torque) |
| Head style | hex head |
| Installation | electric driver at the patch-rated torque |
| Typical substrate | small modules, drones, sensors |
| Key inspections | prevailing torque, patch coverage, thread gauging |
Patch coverage is checked under a microscope, and every part passes a thread gauge to catch coating build-up.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
