Plugs seal either radially or on the face. Thread and seal are separate here: the thread provides mechanical retention and the O-ring provides the seal, which means the plug is serviceable. The groove has to hold the O-ring at the right compression, and the chamfer at the hole entry has to be smooth enough not to cut the ring during insertion.
Material: Brass / Stainless Steel. It is threaded in, sealing either radially or on the face.
Specify the entry chamfer with the plug; a sharp or burred chamfer is the most common cause of a cut O-ring and a leak on first assembly.
| Material | Brass / Stainless Steel |

| Sealing | O-ring seal |
| Standard | GB/T 197, GB/T 3452.1 |
| Installation | threaded in with radial or face sealing |
| Typical substrate | process and test ports |
| Key inspections | pressure hold, seal hardness |
Pressure hold test at 1.5 times working pressure, recording decay. We recommend a pilot assembly at the actual torque and mating part before locking the process parameters for volume.
