The base usually carries several solder feet to spread stress, and the top is a broad flat face to increase contact area. Precision here means the position after reflow, not only the machined dimensions: paste volume, pad design and part coplanarity together decide where the screw ends up. A screw that is on position before reflow can still shift as the paste collapses.
Material: SUS304 Stainless Steel. It is reflow-soldered with the rest of the SMT line.
Add centre feet on large plates to control board warpage during reflow.
| Material | SUS304 Stainless Steel |
|---|---|
| Packaging | Tape & Reel packaging |
| Standard | EIA-481, IPC J-STD-002 |
| Installation | reflow soldering (SMT placement) |
| Typical substrate | board supports and thermal contact faces |
| Key inspections | height, flatness, joint integrity |
Foot coplanarity is checked to ensure full wetting.Alternative materials and finishes can be quoted side by side during sampling, so cost and corrosion resistance can be traded off explicitly.
